Caran D'Ache 849 Ballpoint Pens

The Caran d'Ache 849 ballpoint has been a favorite of architects and other creative professionals since its debut in 1969. Based on the design of a pencil - a hexagonal barrel with rounded verticals - the pen is lightweight and comfortable to hold. The faceted sides prevent it from rolling off a table and the simple pen clip secures it in your pocket or bag. It comes in a spectrum of colors.

The greatest asset of the 849 is its Goliath refill, made in the Caran d'Ache factory in Switzerland. It holds enough ink to fill 600 pages and writes a smooth line with excellent coverage.

The Caran d'Ache 849 ballpoint comes with a black Goliath ink cartridge (except the Metallic Turquoise, which comes with blue). Refill cartridges in black and blue are available.
